Born in Novi Sad on 25 October 1925.
Having graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade, Sculpture Department, Class of Prof. Ilija Kolarović (1953), she taught at the Advanced School of Pedagogy in Novi Sad until 1957.
Lives and works in Novi Sad as independent artist. Member of ULUS (Artists' Association of Serbia) since 1954.
Author of a number of great men's statues and busts in Novi Sad and its environs, such as Đura Jakšić, Branko Radičević, Pavel Šafarik, Dositej Obradović, Svetozar Marković, P. Marčok and of the statue “Salute to the River”, placed in front of the Danubius Rowing Club in Novi Sad.
Group exhibitions: Novi Sad, Belgrade, Ruma, Zrenjanin, Sombor, Pančevo and Cetinje.
Individual exhibitions: Novi Sad (Sculptures and Plastics of I. Acin) – ULUV Gallery, 1983; Belgrade (Sculptures of I. Acin) – JNA Gallery (Yugoslav National Army Culture Club), 1987; Novi Sad (Sculptures of I. Acin) ULUV Gallery, 1990.

Over the ages, which on the Petrovaradin Fortress had never been chronological, immortal residents of various kinds have been replacing one another. Just like the many nations whose names we have nearly forgotten – Celts, Romans, Byzantines, Turks… - were trying to take by force the rock atop which the Fortress was built, it was inhabited, inteminglingly in time and space, by soldiers and merchants, artists and bats. On the Fortress, it is never certain that day will replace night, or that the sky is above and the earth below. However, one thing is sure - there is the Secret Garden of Sculptures.  It is hidden somewhere in time and space, that are not measured with laws of nature, representing a point which encompasses everything that has ever been created  and everybody who has ever sensed the spirit of the Fortress, for one moment at least. The Secret Garden of Sculptures hides every blade of grass, from the beginning of time, and every human, and every cat who has drifted along it corridors, preserving every cannon ball shot against the walls of the Fortress, and every painter with every painting of his, and  every sculptor with every sculpture of his. It keeps sculptured even that springtime moment when Ivanka Acin, with a walnut board, a chisel and a blanket, was carving in the middle of a little locust grove beside the nearest bridge. It keeps the greenery, the intoxicating scent of blossoming locust trees, buzz of bees and song of birds. And the joy of life Ivanka felt at that moment. It also keeps that moment when the Fortress, covered with the white coat of snow and decorated with snow flakes, resembled a bride from a fairy tale.
