BOŠKOVIĆ Radule
Painter, Graphic artist and Designer
Born in Novi Sad on 2 February 1954.
In 1978, he graduated from the Faculty of Applied Arts - Graphic Design Department (Class of Prof. Branislav Makeš) and Book Design Department (Class of Prof. Bogdan Kršić). Member of ULUV since 1979. His occupation is painting, graphic arts, scenography, graphic design. He works as marketing manager for the Serbian National Theatre in Novi Sad.
Study tours: Italy, France, Spain, Great Britain, Germany, Austria, Romania, Greece, Switzerland...
Major projects: visual identity design for a number of companies: ALBUS, Zavod za puteve "ZAP 91"‚ Serbian National Theatre, TV – Science and education serial "The Magician", Zmajeve dečje igre (Zmaj Children's Festival)... Vojvodina – the Fifth Element, Mediterrarium…
His monumental painting and graphic compositions are part of the permanent exhibition at the Vojvodina Museum.
More than one hundred of national and international group exhibitions of paintings, graphic art and graphic design are enlisted in his CV.

Major awards: Award for graphic artwork, October Salon, Belgrade (1988); Bronze medallion, International Theatre Poster Triennial, Novi Sad (1991); Gold Medallion, International Theatre Poster Triennial, Novi Sad (1998); Serbian National Theatre Annual Award, Novi Sad, (2001).

| In the beginning, there was a wish. And the Fortress – a defined space. In the beading composed of the landmark buildings of the Earth, it is one of the marvellous glass pearls. From Mirski, Kršić, Džmerković, Sip, Ćirić, Fileki, Kažić to Radule Bošković: the game had begun. And the key was to be searched for in prehistoric drawings from Altamira and Lascaux caves. Even today, artists are said to build the superstructure over the essence of the language called "drawing" by imitation and happiness. This "Credo" of Radule Bošković belongs to eternal values. Reverence for the work of the unknown Cave artist, the works of Phidias, Bosch, Leonardo, Dürer, Velazquez, Cézanne, Dali, Picasso. Reverence for the Great Fortresses of All Worlds. |
