Stone flower, stone, 3.5 m (Changchun, China)
Measured by what we cannot measure realistically, i.e. by Time that possesses its own parameters, and that does not let itself be regulated so easily, the Fortress has always implied Soldiers, Weapons and Bloodshed. In the same way as it is unsure to measure things, events, people and feelings by Time, it is certain that from the shed Blood (of gods?) Divine Blossoms are born. (Didn't the unfortunate, drunk guard, one moonless night at the Fortress, kill the last Count Bolkonsky?) There are Masters who have been granted as much much talent as to enable them - from the sweat of their muscles and the white stone only – to create equally beautiful divine blossoms, which last as long as Time itself. Ljubomir Denković is one of those who, guided by an idea stronger than man's mortality, plants divine stone blossoms, not only filling the World with them, but also creating a new macrocosmos. Life will be much better in this new World, which reflects both the fragility of childhood and unsteadiness of the short earthly life. |
