| His building was in the Town Centre. What Town Centre? Well, between the Konjović Gallery and “Likovna jesen” Gallery. When he trod into the gallery, at the age of eight, Saša Dobrić felt the urge. He liked openings of exhibitions: a lot of people, a lot of fine sandwiches, canapés... Hey, it was exactly those sandwiches that used to give special importance to such events: by their size, appearance, taste! Dobrić used to see Maestro Konjović every day. (And it was not the only relation of destiny – Saša was also born exactly on the 60th birthday of the Maestro). In the summer, the Maestro used to wear navy T-shirts, and little Saša did not know why. Today, whenever he paints the Adriatic Sea, or the invisible one, Pannonian, whenever he looks from the Fortress - from the rock, the Danube Gibraltar – to the lowlands, he understands that both of them are sailors of the Stolen Sea. And the canapés that are served nowadays at the openings of Dobrić's exhibitions, do not taste the same. |
