It does not really matter, they say, how old the trenches, the watchtowers of the Fortress are. It is said that today, it also does not matter who the Constructors, Martyrs, Warriors were... Do we have to remember at all those legends and stories? Gardens are not only pieces of tamed nature – who could at all cope with it! – but the home of the soul, and those who know that, and Milan Džudović is one of them, know that what really matters are unrepeatable sunrises, smell of wet grass, winds liberating the soul captured in clumsily created gardens. It is him, Džudović, who knows that it is the Hill of the Fortress that matters, the Hill that rises above the flooded civilization, as a signpost towards the Meaning we are looking for in the labyrinth that surrounds us. We'll have to take the Dream to other spaces, to preserve it from death, worn out, to keep it from winds that could blow it away. However, we must be Here when a new blossom is opening, the blossom that covers the walls with beauty, whispering: the Fortress is an important dream, that is here forever, for generations that can and want to dream. |
