IVANOVIĆ Slobodan Bobo
Born in Bačka Topola on 23 January 1959.
Education: primary school in Vrbas, “Bogdan Šuput” Secondary School of Art and Design in Novi Sad, Advanced Graphic School in Belgrade, Academy of Arts in Novi Sad. Study tours: Italy, France, the Netherlands and Spain. Member of ULUV, Likovni krug/Art Circle, International Association (Paris) and BBK Association (Berlin). Took part in many group exhibitions.
His paintings are included in some of the most valuable collections in Germany, France, Italy and (former) Yugoslavia.
He has been awarded many times for his paintings both in the country and abroad.
One-man exhibitions: Pula, Belgrade (2), Vukovar (3), Munich, Düsseldorf, Barcelona, Hamburg, Paris, Köln, Zagreb, Berlin, Maribor, Herceg Novi, Bar, Ulcinj, Titograd/Podgorica, Cetinje.
| There are places in Novi Sad from which it is not recommendable to watch the Petrovaradin Fortress. If you happen to find yourself at such a place, and your look drifts toward the Fortress, you will see it bathing in the morning sunrays, and its impressiveness will come over you. Then, you will be simply forced to set out, slowly, along the Fortress stairway. If the very thing happens to you, then you will not be able to run away from your destiny - studios of maestros are waiting for you and… who knows? Once Slobodan Ivanović misjudged himself in this way. And looked. From the right place. He secretly peered through the doors of studios that were left ajar, and stopped by the last studio, in the Long Barracks. Huge canvases, a frowning man. He drank a glass of milk offered to him, and it was decided. Today, Slobodan keeps the door of his studio at the Fortress left ajar, and a prepared glass of milk for the One who is to arrive. The One who is already looking for the right place from which he will see the Fortress bathing in the morning rays of sun. |
