Predrag Peđa Vranešević (Novi Sad, 1946 - Novi Sad, 2006) engaged himself in music in 1962. He studied architecture in Belgrade and, in 1964, became member of the performing group The Best Nothing. Upon return to Novi Sad, he founded, with some musicians of the Belgrade group, a new band called Med in 1968. They published their first record titled Gajba. At the same time, he worked as an editor in the movie section of the Youth Forum cultural centre (Tribina mladih) and writes film criticism.
During the same period, Mladen Vranešević (b. in Novi Sad, 1947), played with the groups Falkon and  Neoplanti.
In 1971, they worked together for the first time, and composed music to the lyrics of Branko Andrić for the short film Zdravi ljudi za razonodu (Healthy Fun People), directed by Karpo Godina; the music won award at Belgrade's Festival of Short and Documentary Film. They made an improvised studio in an apartment and began to compose music for radio, film, television and theatre. Their incidental music brought them numerous awards in the country and abroad. In 1976, with Želimir Žilnik, they prepared a theatre play Gastarbeiter Opera, and composed music for the film Splav meduza (Medusa Raft) by Karpo Godina. During they long-lasting career, they recorded music for films Veštački raj (Artificial Paradise), Još ovaj put (Just One More Time), Kraj rata (End of the War), Oktoberfest, Original falsifikata (Original of the Fake), Pun mesec nad Beogradom (Full Moon above Belgrade) etc. They authored music and signature songs for serial TV programs Poletarac, Priče iz nepričave, Čik pogodi ko sam.
In 1978, they founded the group Laboratorija zvuka ('Sound Lab') in which a large number of musicians and others performed: body-builders Petar and Irena Čelik, Slobodan Blagojević, Novi Sad eccentric Vilmos the Cowboy, Dušica Ilić – later  Kleopatra, fortune-teller, etc. After performing at Zagreb Biennial, they made contacts with some English agents and in August 1984, they performed a musical happening “Jašući konje San Marka” (Riding San Marco Horses) five evenings in a row, on the London stage of the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA).
They recorded seven singles and albums: Telo (Body) (1980), Duboko u tebi (Deep Inside You) (1982), Nevinost (Innocence) (1986) and a CD Nema niđe te ljepote (Nowhere Is There such a Beauty) (1996).
From 1991, Peđa was a music editor at TV Novi Sad and Mladen in the Marketing Dept. of this broadcaster.
