LUKIĆ Jovan

(Šabac, 24 September 1942 – Šabac, 30 April 1991)
Finished Secondary School of Art and Design (Graphic Dept.) in Novi Sad (1964). In 1965, became member of UPIDIV, and later (1975-1979) chaired the association Has pursued painting, graphics, tapestry, cartoon, book design, illustration, poster and generally graphic design. Participated in many group exhibitions in the country and abroad. Worked as art editor at the Obzor Newspaper & Publishing Company.
Took part in more than 100 group exhibitions in the country and abroad.
One-man shows: Kranj (2), Novi Sad (5), Šabac (2), Zrenjanin, Grožnjan (2), Bačka Palanka, Ilok, Čelarevo, Poreč, Ljubljana, Belgrade, Split, Nova Gorica.
Awards: Diploma of UPIDIV for Art (1973); “Mlado pokolenje” (Young Generation) Award for children's book illustration (1974); Zlatna forma/Golden Form of UPIDIV for book design (1977); Zlatna forma/Golden Form of UPIDIV for poster design; First Prize in the contest for the municipal emblem of Srbobran; First Prize for painting at the 24th October Exhibition of the Painters of Šabac (1979).
