(Novi Sad, 22 December 1910 – Novi Sad, September 2002)

After secondary school (1929), worked as a clerk in the administration of the Danubian Province. During 1934/1935, took private lessons with the painter Milenko Šerban. In 1945, enrolled in the Art Academy in Belgrade. His professors were Milo Milunović, Ivan Tabaković and Marko Čelebonović. Having passed all examinations (1948), he started to working for the Serbian National Theatre in Novi Sad as a set designer. He graduated from the Academy in 1950. Regularly participated in ULUV exhibitions. In 1952, became member of  ULUS. He is one of the founders of art colonies in Vojvodina (Senta, 1952; Bačka Topola, 1953; Bečej, 1954; Ečka, 1956…). Since 1948 he has exhibited at many group shows in the country and abroad. His output includes more than a hundred sets for drama, opera and ballet productions of the Serbian National Theatre.
One-man exhibitions: Galerija grafički kolektiv (Graphic Artists' Company), Belgrade  and Tribina mladih/Youth Forum, Novi Sad (1958); Matica Srpska Gallery, Novi Sad (1966); Autumn Art Salon, Sombor (1972); ULUV Gallery, Novi Sad (1974, 1981); Modern Arts Gallery, Zrenjanin (1986); Modern Visual Arts Gallery, Novi Sad (1987), Rajko Mamuzić Legacy, Novi Sad (1993); Art Salon of the SANU Branch, Novi Sad (1995), Rajko Mamuzić Legacy, Novi Sad (1998/1999).
Awards: Sterija Prize for set design, Novi Sad (1958); Labour Coatof Arms with Silver Wreath (1961); October Award of the City of Novi Sad for scenography (1963); October Award of the City of Novi Sad (1966); Purchase Prize of Autumn Art Gallery, Sombor (1967); Award for painting at 1st Novi Sad Salon (1971) and Award for painting at the 29th ULUV Spring Exhibition, Novi Sad (1980).

23. After one sleepless night, the night he was perspiring with a cold, deathly sweat, the night he was tortured by nightmares from another, unknown-to-him world – huge houses with numberless illuminated windows, numb bodies with too bright skin that floated carried by the River stream – the morning brought greyness.
