Does the explosive energy has to dwell in the heart of the Fortress? Hidden behind five strong supporting walls, on both sides, while surrounded by the Wall as high as the fear in the heart of a visitor, quietly lies the Gunpowder Magazine at the Upper Fortress. It is dedicated to St. Elizabeth and on all four sides has windows with horizontal bars. It is not built into deep ground, and it need not necessarily bring death. Does the explosive energy have to hide behind such huge walls – like veils to be lifted, one after another, in order to reach the essence – or it can be built in one piece of wild beauty that has not sensed the smell of gunpowder, but knows: and Saša Mančić knows it as well, as he also knows that the view from all the four sides is open and free fromt walls.
