During those days that are always hardly predictable, but that select You or Me, looking from the Fortress does not mean a simple sightseeing. During those days, which you have to be born for, exactly for them, because they are not given or available to everyone, everything around the Fortress is empty. Nothing is there! Then, and then only, some people become gifted to start from that emptiness and fill it, again, with their vision of wide horizon and endless plains, the panorama of quiet and broad lines with clearly outlined hills, the Danube moors, which, in front of the eyes of the lucky ones, complete their image in their silvery mists.  That was the emptiness, the whiteness, Mirjana Nikolajević loved to animate: drawing a line that starts, surpasses, falls, blocks the path, stops and, as a miracle, beautiful and exciting like any new birth, a girl with crossed arms, a sunny hillside of Fruška Gora, a tiny road along the forest, an old man lost in thoughts, are born from that emptiness. When that whiteness becomes alive, Mirjana Nikolajević is happy. No more than that.
