Photo-Designer

Born in Subotica in 1956.
Studied at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Novi Sad. Since 1978, he has been preoccupied with advertising photography. In 1983, he became member of UPIDIV, and in 1984, he founded SSS Photo-Design Studio in his studio at the Petrovaradin Fortress.


 

 
 

The Fortress is at its old age, it looks at Novi Sad and – it exists. Srđan Stevanov is middle-aged, he loves Novi Sad and works a little. The Fortress is at the same time a fortification building and an asylum and a castle and a masterpiece of Heaven that endures, and nobody can have doubts about its Existence. Srđan Stevanov knows that some people try to ignore him and convince him of its Inexistence, however he knows that for him art is life and that you should steal from life whatever is nice and you wish to see done. The Fortress has survived centuries, sometimes attacked, sometimes attacking. It has provided shelter to soldiers and turnkeys, unexpected guests and artists, feeding birds and cats, providing Time with a Dream. The Fortress also has Srđan Stevanov the artist. Srđan Stevanov has a beautiful son, a beautiful wife, he has made a ship-catamaran and – he has a studio at the Fortress.
