Born in Novi Sad on 9 March 1929.
Finished primary school and grammar school in Novi Sad. Studied at the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade. In 1956, he became member of IRAD (International Registry of Artists and Designers), in 1958 - member of ULUPUS, and in 1964 - member of UPIDIV. He took part in many symposiums in the country and in Ireland, Austria, Hungary and Germany. He exhibited at many group exhibitions in the country and abroad and at 3 one-man shows in Novi Sad. He occupied the studio No. 27 (Hornverk) in the period 1974 – 1990.

Thus, together with the Sky, the Fortress represents a giant cosmic Mushroom; the hat is the symbol of the astral world and it is practically the celestial canvas on which clouds paint life and death. The Fortress is the powerful root of the World. Mirko Stojnić falls among the fewones who know this truth. That is why he creates giant mushrooms along the roads, to prevent the World from changing. |
