Born in Novi Sad in 1954.
Finished the Academy of Arts - Visual Arts Dept.) in Novi Sad, and postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Visual Arts (Sculpture Dept.) in Belgrade. Has been exhibiting his works since 1979. Has had four one-man shows and took part in more that a hundred group exhibitions in the country and abroad. In addition to private collections, his sculptures are also on display at the permanent exhibition of the Museum of Contemporary Arts of Vojvodina, the Novi Sad City Museum, the Museum of Pančevo and the Bakar/'Copper' Gallery of Bor's Art Colony. He became member of SULUV in 1981. Works at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad.
Has received many awards for sculpture.

| A view from the Petrovaradin Fortress up into the sky means the wind below and the Danube sand scattered over the horizon. Within a moment, just like the Fortress was born in one dream, and came into existence within an instant – just like the goddess Athens was born in an instant from the Zeus's head – Borislav Šuput's head gives birth to different shapes, and his hands create Works of Art thanks to material, tools, content, possibility, reality, consistency, durability, environment, persistence, form and mood. Šuput has not forgotten spontaneity, objectiveness, invention, lie, motif, experience, thinking, art, knowledge, quality, money, conditions, quantity, imagination, nothingness, the universal and the profitable. |
